• Question: whats your favorite castle and cathedral

      I really like Gloucester Cathedral, because I know a lot of the history of it.

      Lichfield cathedral is the closest to where I live, and is a small gem.

      A more modern cathedral that I love is Westminster Cathedral (not Westminster Abbey!) in London. Durham is spectacular and is where a lot of the Harry Potter films were made. You can actually do a virtual tour of Westminster Cathedral at this link:

      As for castles, I’m very lucky to live near Stafford Castle. I actually proposed to my (now) wife there! I like Dunstanburgh Castle because parts of it look really fancy – like the enormous gatehouse – but it’s all fake! People in the 1300s liked to show off, and build fake walls to make their castles look better than they really were. Fake castle walls were the Medieval version of snapchat filters!
