Kate Winfield answered on 11 Nov 2019:

I have been in Girlguiding since the age of 7, when I joined as a Brownie. I then moved onto Guides when I was aged 10 and enjoyed it so much that I decided to become a Young Leader after guides. Whilst I was a Young Leader I worked towards my leadership qualification and at the age of 18 I was a qualified Brownie Leader. I continued being a leader throughout university working with many different units. After university I landed my job as a data scientist in Oxfordshire and found a local unit. This year I have officially taken over the Brownie unit due to the other leader taking retirement. I also help to run the Ranger unit as it would have closed. I have now been a leader for 6 years!
