      I completely understand why you would ask this! In the movies, AI is really scary. After all, we’ve had HAL 9000:

      and even Skynet from The Terminator:

      In reality, though, AI in its current state wouldn’t be able to do those things. It can do some very interesting things and some very useful things that are not easy for humans to do, such as sort lots of data at once, but AI generally tends to be really, really good at one job. You are good at doing lots of jobs at the same time – right now you’re breathing, reading this answer, keeping your heart beating and so on.
