• Question: where is your favourite space to work and who are you with when?

      My favourite space to work in is my lab and even though I really like working there alone, especially when I’m doing something that requires a lot of focus, I also enjoy working side to side with people from my research group as they are very nice and we can have fun chats!

      My favourite place to work is actually in the office with all my colleagues. They are all friendly and having coffee time is the best part of the day!

      When I am sick (which is now) then my favorite place to work from is my warm soft couch at home. But otherwise I like working in my office. I am lucky enough to have a semi-private office. But when my codes are running on the computer my colleagues/friends and I go for Foosball or sometimes just make some tea in the common area and chat. Then I get back to my desk and work by myself. Let’s say I am with Spotify when I work in my office 🙂

      It depends on the job. I’m very happy working in my office at my various computers, where I have helpful colleagues who give me lots of good advice. If I need to do a lot of reading (unfortunately, professional scientists have to spend a lot of time reading!) then I have a special chair of concentration that I go to – it’s so comfortable, and makes it so easy to focus on reading!

      Some people enjoy working at home, but I’m rubbish at it. Too many distractions!
