I could actually continued in my current field of data/science if I want to. We use Physics to make computers learn more effectively. So a degree in Statistical Physics would have helped me further. My PhD promoter (advisor) is a Statistical Physicist. That apart I could have tried to be a Physics teacher in a school. As a Physics teacher I would have tried to inspire young minds into liking Physics and linking Physics to their every day activities and hobbies :). But this is just me. With a degree in Physics you can also choose to study the properties of matter, create different type of surface with special properties, to have better phones, or better batteries, or more amazing televisions or VR glasses. Also astronomy would be another field one can look into with a degree in Physics. 🙂

There are so many jobs relating to a physics degree it is really hard to list them all. A physics degree could take you in any direction!

You could go on to do a PhD in Physics and become a researcher or a lecturer in a university, like me. You could become a science teacher in a school or college. Some of my friends went off and got very exciting jobs making MRI machines for hospitals and doing top secret work for the Ministry of Defence! There is a huge world of options out there.

Physics is not my subject but there is so much research that is related to physics. I was always fascinated by CERN the massive research centre in Switzerland that is the European Organization for Nuclear Research! You can also teach either at schools or even at the university if you do a PhD.
