• Question: have any of you ever received criticism for being a female scientist?

      Back in school some teachers were more supportive of the boys than they were of the girls.
      However in my PhD, in the Netherlands, I did not face any negative criticism yet because of being a female scientist.

      Not really but sometimes I feel like it’s hard to be taken seriously when I first meet new scientists. The fact that I’m quite tiny and speak fast in an excited tone might also have something to do with that though.
